Jake

Jake is a fast-paced, dramatic and funny book. When Jake's mother falls on ice and is sent immediately to the hospital, Jake has to spend Christmas with his Granddad and his dog. But when his Grandpa arrives, he doesn't want anything to do with ten-year-old Jake... and Grandpa brings an almost rabid dog with him! Jake gets to know his Grandpa though, and maybe they can cope for a few months or weeks... and maybe they can make Jake's mom have an okay Christmas too. With neighbors, old friends and new friends, this might actually be better than good.
